| JonathanLGardner 2008-03-30 08:14:10 Florence could sing on a beat, she obviously hadn't practised with the tracks that long. I have alternate takes of The Supremes hits and there are many with Diana behind or off the beat, because she hadn't got the mix right yet. Motown were a lot more stringet with takes than ABC was. When you listen to Flo leads as a supreme Buttered Popcorn, Hey Baby, Ain't That Good News, Oh Holy Night....she is ALWAYS on the beat because she was well rehearsed for the recording __________________________________________________ | |
| oceanbound222 2008-03-30 08:05:39 If you listen to Flo's youtube solo vocals, she is always a half beat behind. Flo was never meant to be a lead singer. She is window dressing. __________________________________________________ | |
| JonathanLGardner 2008-03-23 13:33:48 Most singers can stay on a beat, what was unique was her voice and her charisma on stage oh and the bug-eyed thing lol. Nice song, good lead and nice backing from Florence and Mary __________________________________________________ | |
| oceanbound222 2008-02-28 21:53:51 Diana's ability to stay on the beat is extraordinary. She was born with this talent. She was always right on top of the beat. It is not learned and this is one of the reasons she drove the Supremes to the top. __________________________________________________ | |
